Short Bio:
Dr Dey is a consultant Physician and Rheumatologist at the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana Medical School. She is a pioneer of the first rheumatology clinic in Ghana she started in 2009 and Sec General of the African League against Rheumatism.
Founder/Director of the Rheumatology Initiative, tRi, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing education, advocacy and research into the autoimmune rheumatic conditions with special focus on young and adolescent persons with these conditions in Ghana and West Africa.
DR. DZIFA AHADZI

Short Bio:
Dr. Dzifa Ahadzi is a Specialist Physician and a Third Year Cardiology Fellow with the Department of Medicine, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. She is a contributor to the “National Guidelines for the Management of Cardiovascular Diseases” developed for Ghana under a collaborative programme with the Ghana Heart Initiative (GHI). She is also a Fellow with the Stroke and Cardiovascular Research Training program under which she is pursuing research in the sphere of Heart Failure within the context of a tertiary facility in Ghana. Her other research interests include HIV and the heart, which is the focus of her dissertations for the conferment of the fellowship award. She is a dynamic clinician and a budding researcher who is constantly pursuing creative ways to enhance patient-centered care which she is extremely passionate about.
Her clinical and research interests include the epidemiology, pathogenesis and outcome of systemic lupus erythematosus in Africa, management of the severe connective tissue and rheumatologic disorders in resource-limited countries. She is passionate about raising awareness of rheumatic diseases in West African countries and improving recognition and treatment of rheumatic diseases. She has numerous publications in International and Local journals.
DR. COLLINS KOKURO

Short Bio:
Dr Collins Kokuro is a Consultant Physician Specialist/Cardiologist at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH and also a Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He is an examinations officer for the Department of Medicine andcoordinator for the Physicians Assistantship Program of the School of Medicine and Dentistry - KNUST. Dr Kokuro is a Deputy Training Coordinator in Internal Medicine for the West African College of Physician- Ghana Chapter. He is involved in the teaching of resident medical officers, medical students and other health workers.
Dr Kokuro provides services in General Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is an expert in routine/ambulatory Electrocardiography and Echocardiography and has advance training in abdominal ultrasonography.
Dr Kokuro was involved in the Ashanti ProCol project to improve cardiovascular health among health workers in Ghana. He is a member of the Essential Vascular Care Guidelines Study Group.
Dr Kokuro is married with three children.
DR. ERNEST YORKE

Dr Ernest Yorke is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Medicine & Dentistry, and a Consultant Physician/Endocrinologist at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
He is the immediate past country lead of the ‘Buddy Doctor Initiative’ (BDI) for middle Africa that seeks to improve the capacity of Practitioners in the use of insulin in improving outcomes. He has also been extensively involved in the organization and also served as a facilitator to numerous metabolic and cardiovascular CMEs, both locally and abroad. He values the use of practical tools as well as new technology in research and development to solve problems and also to advance knowledge. He is the Project Director of the National Diabetes Guidelines development.
His main research interests include Diabetes and Kidney Disease, Psychological impact of Diabetes, Pregnancy outcomes in Diabetes and Diabetic Foot Care as well as Thyroid Diseases.
He has published extensively in local and international peer-reviewed journals.
DR YASMINE O. I. HARDY.

Dr Yasmine Hardy is a Senior Specialist Physician in Infectious /HIV Diseases in the Department of Medicine at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) and an adjunct lecturer at the University of Science and Technology.
She is the head of the Infectious Disease/HIV Unit as well as the leader of the COVID- 19 treatment centre at KATH. She is also a member of the International AIDS Society (IAS) and a research fellow of the 2019 IAS Research-for-cure academy.
She is part of the facilitators of the National AIDS Control Programme involved in training health workers in HIV care. Dr Hardy has a passion for contributing to science and providing evidence based care to patients. Her research work has enabled her to present at international conferences/forums like AIDS 2018, 2020 IAS Research-for-cure academy etc. Her research interests include COVID-19 and chronic diseases and HIV and she has publications in these disciplines.
DR. LAMBERT TETTEH APPIAH

I am a practicing Senior Specialist Physician, a cardiologist and a researcher with interest in global cardiovascular health including prevention, epidemiology, clinical trials, implementation science, improving health systems and training. I work across the spectrum of cardiovascular diseases in research on CVD risk factors, Stroke ,Heart failure, HIV-related cardiac co-morbidities
I also work as a senior lecturer at the School of Medicine and dentistry of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST-SMS), department of Medicine. I completed my Fogarty Global Health Fellowship with the University of North Carolina, working on emerging CVD risk among both HIV and non-HIV patients in Ghana. I am a Fellow of both the West African College of Physicians and the Ghana College of Physicians, also a Fellow of the International Society of Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention(ISCEP) .I have a Post graduate certificate in Clinical research from the Harvard Medical School.
